This is a very thought provoking movie. It forces the viewer to look into themselves and ponder the characters decisions in relation to what they would do themselves. Fantastic work.
Did we really need to see Mr. Hoffman nude? I could have finished out the year without that sight:~( Shocking one's sensibilities with dysfunctional trash behavior and gutter morality served up like a Thanksgiving feast does NOT make good entertainment.. .ZZZZ...Painful ly bad script, overdone acting. I literally said out loud, "Is this EVER going to end." The delusional director regurgitates the SAME painful story over and over and over and...you get the picture...SAVE YOURSELF, YOUR TIME, AND YOUR $$$
This movie is a fascinating look at how good people fall the "devil's snares". As the story unfolds, you keep seeing how the characters are caught in the toils of their own deceit, lie to, and betray each other, and how their little secret vices snowball into a tangled web of tragedy and chaos. One after one, the characters exhibit the classic element of Greek tragedy, which is a fatal flaw. Each is doomed by his or her rage, weakness, malleability,ch ildhood hurts, desperation to be loved, and addictions. It's a masterful piece: A complete disaster unfolding in slow-motion, flashbacks, surprise revelations and the horrible consequences that follow a little bit of "harmless evil" ...a little bit of petty crime. This is really an excellent movie, if you don't mind seeing how badly wrong things can go.
