Definitely one of Matthew McConaughey's best! Adding Michael Douglas to the Flick was the best choice any writer/director could have made! I believe a better actress could have been chosen, but do not necessarily disagree with their' decision to use Jennifer Garner, she is definitely tops. A great movie, one of my new favorites, and I will definitely grab it when it comes out on DVD!
Trite. I felt sorry for the actors. They did well with a story line that makes sex a sport and presents most women as air heads. If you see a theme over and over you tend to believe it. With movies like this it's easy to see why the divorce rate is so high.
This was one of the best movies that I have seen this year, and the year before that. This is an emotional movie, you can go from crying to tears of joy, to just being shocked from the Connor's actions. It is full of romance, and true love will come back, starting in the beginning, then it falls apart with in the middle, and comes back for good in the end. This was a truley awsome movie that every person should see.
The first 20 minutes are excruciating - you hate Matthew McConaughey - he is every horrible guy you dated, rolled into one! I find Jennifer Garner a little bland - I get distracted by those cheek bones and lips - and barely notice her acting. It gets better as it goes on - perhaps the characters are more likeable. Yep, as said, it's corny and predictable - and just OK.
